GOTY 2013 Saige!

Just a little over a year ago I was sitting at my computer excitedly typing the news of Mckenna's movie.  Now, here I am again bringing new Girl of the Year 2013 news.
It has been confirmed that her name will be Saige.  How do I know this?  Go to HERE and HERE.  These links link to the Library of Congress's Catalog where they have the name of both the Girl of the Year books:  Saige and Saige Paints the Sky.
Here is the summery of Saige:

"Upset that her New Mexico school can only afford music and art teachers in alternate years, fourth-grader Saige works with her grandmother, Mimi, to plan a fundraiser but when Mimi has an accident, Saige relies on new friend Gabi to help."

And from Saige Paints the Sky:

"Painting in her grandmother’s studio and riding her favorite horse, Georgia, helps fourth-grader Saige cope with missing Mimi and sparks an idea for funding the school art program, but more creativity will be needed to keep Georgia from being sold."

I'm not too keen on having another horse-lover, but the artist side of Saige sounds interesting.

On to my favorite part, information has been pretty much confirmed that a Saige movie is in the works!!!!!  Go to Doll Diaries for the full scoop on Saige and her movie!  It is quite exciting indeed!:)

What do you think of Saige?

Caroline is Here!!

Well, she's finally here!  Her hair is stunning, just stunning.  And her whole collection is just incredible, but I just chose a couple of my favorite items of her collection to discuss.
This dress is soooo pretty!  Purple looks so good on her.  I love every design, detail, and color!  I know girls her age had to wear dresses that short, but I still wish her dress would go to the floor.
My favorite part of the whole outfit is the headband made of braided hair.  It's so cool!  This is definitely what I'm getting for Christmas!:)
Her parlor set is amazing.  It's so detailed.  I could never afford it, though.:(  It's seems very well made, but $300 is a lot of money!  The window box is my favorite part.
This coat is so cute!!!  The color is very unique; however, it looks perfect with the grey.
Reindeer ears!!!!   Love them!  Again, just such a cute outfit!
I would also enjoy getting this.  The miniature gingerbread house is adorable!  And the sprinkles, candy canes, and other candies are just eaten up with cuteness!
This dress is so classy and beautiful.  The bodice design is gorgeous!!

Also, stay tuned for an interview with Kathleen Ernst, author of Caroline Abbott's book series.

More New Images of Caroline!:)

On Something Beautiful they posted these new pictures of Caroline!!
She looks so beautiful in this pink dress.  And the boat would be awesome to have.  My gut feeling is that her family is going to own a light house.  It has already been stated she lives near the coast, and a light house would add an interesting addition to her stories.

We also have a great picture of her book cover.  I love that it's all pink!:)  Her hair on the cover looks a little shorter than the doll's hair.

I love this whole set!!!  Caroline looks incredible in the blue dress.  And she even has a cute widow box!  Can't wait till her release!:)  What's your favorite item from these pictures?

Caroline Abbott has been Revealed!:)

They revealed her!  They revealed her!!!!!!  Sorry, just really excited!:)  On American Girl's facebook page they revealed a photo of her!:)  Here is the description they gave with the picture:

You know her name. You know her year. Now discover more about our newest historical character as we reveal the Caroline doll and where her story takes place — Sackets Harbor, New York, on the shores of Lake Ontario as the War of 1812 begins. Stayed tuned for more about Caroline as we count down to her debut…

Don't you just adore her?  I'm so happy she's a blond doll.  They have already archived two blond dolls, so adding a new blond was the best choice.:)  Now some of you might say why another blonde?  Look at these statistics.

4 Black haired dolls: Josefina, Kaya, Addy, and Ivy
5 Brunettes:  Cecile, Marie-Grace, Ruthie, Rebecca, and Molly
1 Red head:  Emily
2 Blonds:  Kit and Julie

So no one can say they have too many blonds.:)  I do feel bad for red headed people who don't have too many dolls, because Emily is the only red head.:(

Anyways,  I love Caroline's pink dress.  It works beautifully with her skin tone, her hair, and her eyes.  I am so excited for her to come out!  Might be my new Christmas present!:)

Caroline Abbott Updates

With the release date for Caroline Abbott only a month and a half away, the excitement is starting to build up.  We have the title of each of her books now:  Meet Caroline, Caroline's Secret Message, A Surprise for Caroline, Caroline Takes a Chance, Caroline's Battle, Changes for Caroline.
On American Girl Publishing, they have her Color and Craft book.  They do show her flower basket you can make.  Maybe she really loves flowers?
It is official that Caroline's time period is 1812 and that she will come out in September, because Kathleen Ernst(author) stated both these facts on her website
The most recent rumor is that she will have light colored hair that is kinda wavy-curly(this imformation from American Girl Fan Message Board).
I guess we will just have to wait and see!  If you find any information regarding Caroline, please let me know!:)

Caroline Abbott Official Time Period!

Well, we have finally figured out Caroline's time period!!  At a recent book expo, They had a silhouette of Caroline and her time period: 1812.  It is also possible that Caroline could be from 1812 to celebrate the two hundredth anniversary of the War of 1812.  Are you excited about her????  I am!!!  I love that time period, so I think she will make a great historical doll.
Back to my victory curls tutorial video, it will not upload for me.  If any of you know how to fix, this please tell me!!!  After I try a few more times, and it doesn't work, I might just have do the tutorial in pictures.:(
