Hairstylist at an AG Birthday Party!!

     Yes, you read right.  A member of my church offered to pay me to come to her daughter's six year old birthday party and style all the doll's hair.  Of course, I accepted!  What wouldn't be more of a joy to do?

     Here are all the little girls' dolls and bears(since some didn't have an AG doll).  It was so cute how it was all setup.  Every doll had a place setting and cup and a plate from the American Girl crafts at Michaels.

     What was quite funny was that two girls brought Kit and one girl brought a short-haired My American Girl.  Talk about coming up with a hairstyle for those!!  I decided each doll would have a crown braid with a cute ribbon(as below).

     She doesn't look as good as when I styled it, but these are younger girls.:)

     It was such a cute birthday party!  All the girls danced to funny music, made a doll-sized purse, and decorated cupcakes.  I can't wait to one day do this again!  It was so fun!

Goodbye Kit??

      My mom and I have been discussing Kit lately.  We have noticed that quite a few of her items are not sold anymore.  Have you seen that her Bunny Jump Suit, original pajamas, hobo outfit, and her hat and mittens have all been retired?  Now you might say that's not a big deal, but think about it.  Why would they archive it all and not replace it with new outfits?? 
     Kit would also be a big time money maker for American Girl if they retired her.  That's probably why they retired Felicity and Elizabeth.  Just for the money.

     This would devastate me if AG retired Kit!  She was my very first historical character, and she looked almost exactly like me when I was little.  My mom buys me an item from Kit's collection for every birthday and Christmas, but if she is archived, I will never be able to have the collection of such a wonderful doll.:(
