For my birthday, my wonderful parents gave me the 11-inch Disney Merida doll. Isn't she gorgeous? Without further ado, my review. Beware! Many pictures are ahead!
Her big crystal blue eyes are absolutely stunning against her pale skin and curly orange-red hair. I appreciate that her freckles are a little more natural looking compared to the Rapunzel doll's freckles.
It's so cute how they added in Merida's curl that always gets in her face.
What did frustrate me about Merida's hair is that the front sections of her hair is all perfect and pretty, but the back section is all messy and not pretty.
Her cloak is so well made. It even has a hood! I'm afraid to put the hood on her, though, because her hair is so puffy I don't want to mess it up.
Here are two pictures of her left and right arm. The left arm sleeve is so medieval looking and feminine. Her right arm sleeve is not connected to her dress, but it is her archery arm thingy(sorry, don't know the correct name). It's so detailed!
This is a very interesting place for a quiver. I'm used to Susan Pevensie's quiver on her back. (Back to the doll quiver)I love the intricate detail on it! It is also able to come on and off, so Merida won't always look like a warrior.:)
Her shoes are very simple. They also will easily come off which is why you can still see the rubber bands on them.
The bow is one of my favorite parts of her accessories!! I have had a thing for archery since I saw Susan Pevensie in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. One day, I will become skilled at archery.
Favorite picture of Merida by far! This was the only picture I could get her to hold the bow and arrow.
Overall, this doll is a must get! Merida is so well made and beautiful! Hope you enjoyed my review!:D
