Hot Rolling Skylar's Hair

I don't know if I have told you all, but I have the Hopscotch Hill Girl, Skylar.  I bought her when I was pretty little, so her hair has not seen the best of days.  I felt I needed to flat iron it.  And hear is the delightful result:

See, not so good, huh??  I began to think for a little while.  What could I do to bring back the luster of this doll's hair?  Then it hit me.  My hot rollers!!  I pondered about an hour on how to accomplish this new idea, and figured it out.  Here's what I did.

I plugged in my Jilbere Ceramic 20 Roller Setter and let it fully heat up.  Then I pulled the top layers of Skylar's hair up with a clip.

Using only the small rollers, I rapped her hair up and held it in place for a minute or two.  If you won't more of just waves, I would hold it in for a minute at the max.  I did this all around the bottom layer then the top layer.  Also you can re-curl a piece of hair if it didn't turn out how you wanted it to.  It won't damage the hair.  Just don't hold it in for more than two minutes, in my opinion.
Here's how her hair turned out.

Isn't it amazing??  I can't believe it turned out this well!!  It went from flat and boring to curly and beautiful!

The back is my favorite part.  It looks like a completely different doll.
If any of you decide to do this, please email a picture of how it turned out!  I would love to see!  Also, if you have any questions, comment me or email me at americangirlcentral@gmail.com.

Wow!! That is sooooo pretty. I was wondering, are you able to take off your Animators' Collection doll's clothes? I'm planning on buying Rapunzel very soon (today, actually) but I wanted to know before I do. Also, how do you find her hair holding up? I haven't the slightest idea what the quality of the hair is like...

Hey, Jessie! The Rapunzel one is so cute! Yes, you can take off their clothes. I have had my Sleeping Beauty for eight months and haven't actually brushed her hair. When I finger it, it tends to get puffy, so I have always been nervous to brush it for fear of a tangled mess. But it is so worth getting!!! They are the cutest dolls ever!:) Hope that helps!
